Scientists discover exotic quantum state at room temperature .
Researchers at Princeton found that a material known as a topological insulator, made from the elements bismuth and bromine, exhibit specialized quantum behaviors normally seen only under extreme experimental conditions of high pressures and temperatures near absolute zero. The finding opens up a new range of possibilities for the development of efficient quantum technologies, such as spin-based, high-energy-efficiency electronics.
Tax economist Zidar says it’s his job to give you the best numbers, not the convenient ones .
Princeton economics professor Owen Zidar has produced an impressive portfolio of work that paints a clearer picture of how the richest Americans make their money, what’s driving inequality and how tax policies at local, state and national levels can help reverse troubling trends.
Princeton University-HBCU partnerships launch first research projects .
Each collaboration will be co-led by a team of researchers from Princeton and one of five HBCUs: Howard University, Jackson State University, Prairie View A&M University, Spelman College and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. UNCF and Princeton partnered to launch the program.
Princeton faculty members collaborate with colleagues throughout the world to carry out important, cutting-edge research and scholarship.
Collaboration Is Key
It is through collaborations that Princeton's faculty transform laboratory research into real-world projects that can make a difference to society.
